Mathematica Recognizes National Day of Service and Remembrance

Spotlight on Oakland Staff’s Contribution to Growing a Stronger Community
Sep 11, 2018

Mathematica is proud to recognize the National Day of Service and Remembrance, which promotes community service on September 11 as an annual and forward-looking tribute to victims and survivors of the attacks as well as the people who served in response to them. As a mission-driven organization, we are committed to making a difference nationally, globally, and locally in the communities where our employees live, work, and play. We support organizations dedicated to improving these communities, with each office dedicating volunteer time to a local charity. We also encourage the volunteer efforts of our employees with corporate donations that match their volunteer time at these organizations.

Today we recognize our Oakland office’s volunteer efforts to promote economic, environmental, nutritional, and social justice in the community with Planting Justice. This nonprofit offers a constellation of programs that includes outreach in local prisons, jails, and juvenile detention facilities to help transform neighborhoods and rebuild lives.
