U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

We are leading technical assistance and evaluation activities for this program that provides low-income, underinsured, and uninsured women ages 40 to 64 with health services to support prevention, management, and treatment of cardiovascular disease.

Since its implementation in 1995, the Well-Integrated Screening and Evaluation for the Women Across the Nation (WISEWOMAN) program has provided low-income, underinsured, and uninsured women ages 40 to 64 with health services to support prevention, management, and treatment of cardiovascular disease. Funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the program's services include screening, healthy lifestyle support programs, and linkages to community resources.
